The Board of Cukunft Jewish Association prepares a year round operating program of all planned activities of the Association on an annual basis according to the Jewish calendar: from September/October to September/October of the following year.

At the end of each calendar year the Board of Cukunft presents and publishes a statement of merit on all activities of the Association, while annual financial statements are publised till 30 June, which are reported till July 10 every year to the IRS and NCR.

STATEMENT OF MERIT 2016

In 2016, the Cukunft Jewish Association implemented numerous educational and socio-cultural events, lectures and workshops for both Jews and non-Jews living in Poland, Lithuania, Ukraine, Belarus, Germany and Israel interested in the broader Jewish culture and history of Polish Jews:

I. PROJECTS FOR EDUCATION & INTEGRATION OF MEMBERS OF JEWISH COMMUNITIES

1) 5 Sabbath dinners – “Home-Made Shabbat” – Minyanim project.
2) Eco-To-Be Shevat – Jewish New Year of Trees and Ecology – ecological workshops by an artist Dariusz Paczkowski, eco bags workshops with Jewish themes – Infopunkt Barbara.
3) Sephardic Purim – family party with a concert of Jewish music performed by Josephine and Romuald Kriegers, presentation of Purim gifts – a book for Jewish children ‘Yidishe Zoo’ and re-freshments.
4) Passover Meeting – ‘Warsaw Ghetto Uprising broke out on Erev Pesach’ – moderated by Jan Kirschenbaum, Aleksandra Wilczura (19.04.2016).
5) Pesach for Dummies – how to organize a Passover Seder at home – moderated by Jan Kirschen-baum, Aleksandra Wilczura (22.05.2016).
6) Jewish Sports and IntegrationActivities in the framework of Hasmonea Jewish Sports Club – football, basketball, volleyball, bowling, chess, badminton and gymnastics (May-July).

5) Participation in the II Congress of the Lower Silesian NGOs in Krzyzowa (16.05.2016).
6) The most beautiful parts of my culture. Proud of my origin – art contest for children on the occa-sion of World Children’s Day organized by the Governor of Lower Silesia – awarded works of Nell and Anna Duwel, Malgorzata and Agnieszka Zylbertal, Tymon and Robert Chmielewski were ex-hibited in the Lower Silesia Regional Office in Wrocław (06.06.2016).

OBJECTIVES OF THE BOARD OF CUKUNFT JEWISH ASSOCIATION IN 2016

In 2016 the objectives of the Cukunft Jewish Association will be:

1) Attracting more new Jewish members from different age groups.
2) Organization of Jewish holidays for the secular members of Jewish community of Wroclaw – Tu Bishvat, Purim, Pesach, Shavuot, Rosh Hashana, Chanukah.
3) Continuation of the organization of Shabbat dinners under the project “Wandering Homemade Shabbats”.
4) Continuation of Hebrew language, culture and Jewish/Israeli cuisine workshops open for public.
5) Painting a historic mural of Marek Edelman and continuation of this project in the Secular Jewish Space of Wroclaw.
6) Organization of Wroclaw celebration of 73. anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.
7) Participation in the Kaleidoscope of Cultures Project and Picnic at Slodowa Island.
8) The organization of the exhibition devoted to Jewish residents of Wroclaw – “Zukunft-Cukunft: Breslauers yesterday and today” in cooperation with Rabbi Stephen Fuchs and Victoria Fuchs.
9) Continuation of the cooperation with the Festival of Equal Rights in the framework of so-called Jewish Section.
10) The establishment of the Theater Section of Cukunft’s members.
11) Continuation of work on the establishment of the Gan Shalom Jewish kindergarten.
12) The development of sports and recreational activities for members of Jewish community in Lower Silesia within Hasmonea Sports Section led by Cukunft Jewish Association seeking to create Jewish teams of basketball, volleyball, football, table tennis, chess and badminton, which will transform into Hasmonea Jewish Sports Club.
13) Acquisition of membership for Hasmonea Jewish Sports Club led by Cukunft Jewish Association in the national and world Maccabi Movement.
